With the advance of wireless technology and increasing use of mobile handheld devices such as cell phones, more and more practical mobile applications have emerged. Context-aware mobile applications refer to those applications developed for mobile handheld devices that can detect and understand their situational context and automcatically adapt their behavior in a user-preferred manner accordingly. This talk will introduce a couple of ongoing research projects on context-aware mobile applications, including research problems, challenges, and solutions.
主講人簡介:
Dr. Dongsong Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Systems at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, USA. He received a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona. His current research interests include context-aware mobile computing, computer-mediated collaboration and communication, and business intelligence. He has published over 100 research articles in journals and conference proceedings. He has received research grants and awards from U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institue of Health (NIH), Google Inc., National Natural Science Foundation of China, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Royal Society of British, etc.
