盛仕斌博士現(xiàn)任美國伯明翰阿拉巴馬大學(xué)市場營銷學(xué)教授。盛博士本科畢業(yè)于清華大學(xué)，后在美國弗吉尼亞理工大學(xué)獲市場營銷博士學(xué)位。盛教授的研究領(lǐng)域集中于營銷戰(zhàn)略，營銷渠道，新興經(jīng)濟(jì)體的制度環(huán)境等。盛教授已經(jīng)在市場營銷和管理學(xué)的國際主流期刊上發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文三十余篇，包括Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Operations Management, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, Marketing Letters 等期刊。盛教授已多次獲國際學(xué)術(shù)會議最佳論文獎(jiǎng)。盛博士目前是多家國際學(xué)術(shù)期刊的編審委員會成員。
內(nèi)容簡介：
Despite increasing attention to types of entrepreneurial efforts, few studies explore their personal determinants or impacts on entrepreneurial performance. Drawing on institutional theory and entrepreneurship literature, this article examines the impacts of individual social ties on two types of entrepreneurial efforts, their relationship with entrepreneurial performance, and the contingent effects of the institutional environment. Archival data sets reveal that both business and political ties increase opportunity-based entrepreneurship, and business ties reduce, whereas political ties have no effect on, necessity-based entrepreneurship. The former relates positively to entrepreneurial performance; the latter shows a negative link, and both relationships depend on the institutional environment, in terms of policy transparency and fiscal transparency. These findings offer nuanced insights for literature and managerial practice.
