In order to further encourage the teachers of the School to carry out teaching research and reform, on January 6, 2025, the school invited Professor Zhao Erdong, a famous teacher of ideological and political teaching in Beijing, to give a special lecture on "Teaching research in the Digital Era: First-class Curriculum and teaching reform". Vice dean Zhang Xiang, the leaders of various educational reform projects and the representatives of young teachers attended the lecture. The lecture was presided over by Vice dean Zhang Xiang.
Professor Zhao shared his experience from "how to enter the state of teaching research", "how to apply for educational reform project" and "actively spread the results of educational reform". He said that if college teachers want to better enter the teaching and research state, they need to take root on the platform and base on teaching practice; reflect and try to solve the pain points and difficulties found in teaching; take research-oriented, actively plan and design educational reform projects, and write teaching reform papers or cases.
After the report, the teachers attending the meeting had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the problems encountered in the process of teaching reform application and teaching practice. Professor Zhao expects all teachers to participate in the teaching reform project in the future, and jointly build the characteristic education brand of Beijing Institute of Technology.
