On the afternoon of August 27,2021, the meeting of 2021 freshmen of the Academy of Economics and Management and the award ceremony of "Dean’s List" was held in the Concert Hall of Liangxiang Campus. Wang Zhaohua, Dean of the School of Management and Economics, Party Secretary Yan Zhijun, department heads, mentor representatives, counselors and all the freshmen of 2021 attended the meeting. This meeting was presided over by Zhang Xiang, vice Dean of the School of Management and Economics.
After the wonderful performance of the student orchestra of the Academy of Economics and Management, Dean Professor Wang Zhaohua delivered a speech on the stage. He first expressed a warm welcome to the arrival of 2021 freshmen, introduced the history of the School and its brilliant achievements in scientific research, discipline construction, social services, talent training, faculty, and raised three expectations: change roles, integrate into college life as soon as possible; establish lofty goals; and good time management.
At the meeting of freshmen, Party Secretary Yan Zhijun issued a letter of appointment to the academic mentors, general mentors and off-campus mentors in 2021, and awarded certificates to outstanding mentors in the last academic year.
During the award ceremony, Vice Dean Zhang Xiang read out the Dean’s list for the 2020-2021 academic year. The School leaders awarded certificates to 16 scholarship winners one by one and took a group photo.
